i'm so glad you're here.

When I celebrated my 21st birthday in July, my friends asked me what I wanted to do before I turned 22. I tried to come up with the most reasonable, attainable goal possible.

“I want to start my own website.”

And so, in the in-between moments, I began to get to work. I wrote, I read, I researched. I pulled my hair out while teaching myself to design a website on Wix. A frequent pastime became forcing my friends to look over web pages and random pieces of my writing. And now, it’s ready to share with you.

My dream for this website is to house all things creative - writing, photography, and design - with the goal of having something for everyone in their preferred artistic medium. Personally, I have discovered certain solace and clarity within stories and storytelling, so I hope to provide this space for others to experience the same. The goal of my writing is not necessarily to change the way anyone thinks but to express the importance of the minutiae and mundane.

Even after graduating in December, the absence of storytelling looms around me. Although editorials are my usual medium, I’ve been exploring more creative narratives based on my experiences and dabbling in poetry.

This week, I had the honor of sharing two of my poems published in the fall edition of The Asbury Review, “i don’t think i can be a mother” and “i will make my morning latte whether he’s there or not.”

I can’t wait to share more pieces with you in the near future. I’m so glad you’re here.
